Small town born and bred in Country western Australia, Paul is the fifth generation in a line of farmers originally from "Glencoe" Scotland. As the only son he spent his youth in the paddocks with an abundance of time to dream and reflect on life. His parents were devout Baptists and at 16 when he decided to follow Jesus for himself he began composing songs using his sisters acoustic guitar, performing them at weddings and various Baptist churches in the "big smoke".

At 23 he moved to Perth chasing Rebecca his only sweetheart and is now married with four children, Jesse, Jaimee, Samuel, Kate. He is employed as the Worship Pastor at Riverview church and has written songs for the last five church albums as well as releasing an EP in 2000 titled "leaving".
